Objective  Bank Guarantee Bonds, rendered by contractor/suppliers’ as per terms of works/stores contract, are very risky, sensitive and complex issue. It perhaps give financial relief to contractor/suppliers’ in proficient execution of Railway contracts, but prone to deception. Compared to executives more responsibility has been entrusted to Accounts Officers for ensuring verification, timely renewal and encashment of BG Bonds to safeguard the financial interest of Railways. This system is helpful in generating letter seeking extension of validity, encashment etc. and other managerial reports thereby save time and man-hours as well as effective maintenance of records and disposal of the Bank Guarantee Bonds.
